The thread that binds them is a passion for fighting for those who who usually find themselves fighting exhausting, never-ending battles alone. With Indivisible Aurora they have an unflinching ally standing beside them. We stand beside historically marginalized groups wherever they are in our community.

Meet our leadership team.
Strong, visionary, consistent leadership is necessary for the successful operation of an organization like Indivisible Aurora. Our leadership team, like our general membership, consists of volunteers unselfishly devoting their time to their community. They are corporate directors, programmers, developers, teachers, retired law enforcement, and parents. They represent the diversity of Aurora and are passionate about making a difference.

Chuck ADAMS
FounderChuck founded Indivisible Aurora in February of 2017. He is a husband of 22 years and a father of three. He graduated from Western Illinois University and has lived in Aurora for 14 years.
Gwyn CIESLA
Co-Founder, Member EmeritusGwyn (she/her) joined Indivisible Aurora in February of 2017. She has lived in Aurora with her wife and two children since 2006. As of October 2019, she is the President of Aurora, IL Pride - which has been split from Indivisible Aurora to be its own non-profit organization. Gwyn no longer sits on the board, but is an honorary member.
Luma WEBSTER
Executive DirectorLuma (she/ella) is a Latine mother of four. Previously an Information Technology professional for over ten years, she now works in programs management with a leading national nonprofit doing suicide prevention advocacy.
Shannon BUCKLEY
TreasurerShannon (she/her) is a certified accountant that manages a family-run business. She has a history of community organizing passed down through generations of active family members. She is passionate about advocating for community needs.
Erika GARCIA
Director, ProgramsErika (she/ella) is a licensed social worker and a graduate of Aurora University. She is passionate about youth and community advocacy.
CaseyFITZGERALD
Director, FundraisingCasey (he/him) has been with Indivisible Aurora since its inception when he was still a high school student. Now in college he looks forward to continue supporting the community as an executive member.
Ash PLONCZYNSKI
Executive SecretaryAsh (they/them) began volunteering with Indivisible Aurora's community fridge project in 2021. They have since advocated for community issues and successfully ran a write-in campaign for an Aurora Public Library District seat.
Nicholas RICHARD-THOMPSON
Director, CommunicationsNicholas (he/him) is a community organizer and cultural worker. Besides his position on the Indivisible Aurora board, he is also the current Midwest regional organizer for the Black Alliance for Peace, an anti-war, anti-imperialist, and people-centered human rights organization. Nick has his Master's in public policy, focusing on public safety, democracy, human rights, and foreign policy.
